Books are important to me. For as long as I can remember I’ve loved books and reading. Some books become old friends, others get passed on. I think books are magic in themselves. They contain knowledge that may send you on a whole new journey. They can offer perspectives that can change the way you think or show you the answer to a question.
We try to keep up with current trends and themes, but there are good old staples that we always try to keep in stock. We sell a lot of crystals and so it makes sense to have books about them. The Crystal Bible, by Judy Hall (all 3 volumes) have been invaluable to us, together with Judy Hall’s Crystal Companion. Good informative books that make an excellent addition to anyone’s reference library, beginners and old hands alike

Books by local authors switch and change from time to time, but there are three here by our local wisewomen. If you have ever wondered what goes into the making of a witch, or wisewoman these books will give you a good idea. It isn’t all full moons and fairy dust. Cassandra has been the village wisewoman of St Buryan for many years. Her memoir “Village Witch” published by Mandrake is a regular best seller in the shop. Laetitia published volume 1 of her story last year with Crossed Crow. Volume 2 arrived this April
